The Fomento Industrial Corporation administrates the San Pedro de Macoris Free Zone. It is the second Industrial Park established in the Country in 1972. That means 28 uninterrupted years providing a very capable and well-trained workforce .  Actually this is the largest Industrial Park under Fomento's administration, and the second largest in the Dominican Republic with a total of 103 Industrial Plants (buildings) occupied by 49 companies dedicated to several activities such as : Textile , shoes, luggage, leather goods, electronic parts, crafts, jewelry and services providers.

Right next to the Park, there is a Private Free Zone operated by Chem Tec Enterprise with 12 companies installed.

a) INFOTEP Center: Our employees are constantly being trained to upgrade their skills and abilities in specific areas needed, in order to increase their quality and productivity. In the near future, we will expand its facilities to offer technical degrees also.

b) Industrial Kitchen: It offers our employees all the food services with international nutritional and hygiene standards, with attractive prices.

c) Medical Clinic : It operates from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and offers our employees health services with 24 doctors specialized in different areas. At this moment our clinic has 12 consulting rooms and offers: Sonograms, X-Rays, Laboratory, as well as minor surgery.

d) Independent Power Sub-Station: In order to provide a stable and reliable power service to all companies established in the Zone.
